It's never been an issue because it's always eventually shut, may take me 2-3 tries, and I have to make sure I am giving decent force and on ... I have a 2015 200 S with uconnect 8.4 touch screen just bought a week ago. I have downloaded the update and put the ISO on several different flash drives using FAT FAT32 and NTFS and it will not read anything.
